Located at the hub of the Asia-Pacific region, Taiwan relies on sea and air transport to stay connected with the rest of the world. As politics, economics, technology and culture all accelerate and internationalize into the 21st century, civil aviation plays an increasingly important role.
Training and education are the root of growth and development in any field, and civil aviation is no exception. However, under the government’s current structure, the CAA’s AVIATION TRAINING INSTITUTE is the only facility that conducts training for aviation personnel. As for in-country universities, only a few offer aviation related courses. Under these circumstances, Aviation Education Foundation (AEF) was established with a view to improving the quality of education, aiding the development of the airline industry, providing consultation services, and offering a broad range of training opportunities and channels. To this end, AEF is willing to invest itself in the aviation industry both at home and abroad.
AEF was registered as a non-profit organization by the Education Bureau of the Taipei County Government on July 18, 2008.
